Cookie policy

This website is designed to work without tracking you. This page explains the small amount of information it stores on your device, and why.

Cookies

This website sets one cookie of its own, cm_consent, which remembers the choice you make in the cookie banner so we don't ask again on every page. It lasts six months and contains nothing about you. The website does not use advertising tracking.

Analytics

If the cookie banner offers an "Analytics" choice and you agree to it, Google Analytics counts your visit and the pages you look at, so we can see which parts of the site are useful. It sets cookies starting _ga, which last up to two years. Your IP address is shortened before it's stored, Google's advertising features are switched off, and nothing identifies you by name. If you don't agree, Google Analytics never loads. You can change your mind at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page, and turning it off removes those cookies.

If you work for us and sign in to the website, WordPress also sets the cookies it needs to keep you signed in.

Session storage

If you start a quote using the short form on our homepage, the service and postcodes you enter are held temporarily in your browser's session storage so they can be filled in on the full quote form. This information never leaves your device unless you submit the form, and it is deleted when the quote form loads or when you close the browser tab.

Pages viewed before an enquiry

This is optional, and only happens if you choose "Accept all" or turn on "Pages viewed" in the cookie banner. While you browse, the pages you visit on this site are then noted in your browser's session storage. If you send a quote request, that list is sent with it so we can understand what you were looking at. If you don't send a request, it never leaves your device, and it's cleared when you close the tab.

Fonts and images

All fonts and images are served from our own website, so loading a page does not share your details with third-party font or image services.

Links to other websites

We link to our profiles on Checkatrade, Yell, Facebook and Google, and to Google Maps for directions. Those websites have their own cookie and privacy policies, which apply once you visit them.

Changing your mind

You can change your choice at any time using cookie settings, also linked at the bottom of every page. Choosing "Essential only" deletes any pages-viewed list already stored.
