Local moves and long distances

We're based at Crawley Down, a few minutes from East Grinstead, so we know the roads, the town centres and the narrow lanes around here well. But we regularly travel much further: customers have moved with us from Sussex to Dorset, Manchester and Scotland, and from East London to South London with a final stop in Hartfield.

For long-distance moves, we'll talk you through timings in advance so you know when to expect us at each end.

When your dates change

Completion dates have a habit of moving at the last minute, and chains don't always hold. If your date has come forward or another company can no longer do it, give us a ring. We can't promise to be free every day, but we will always try. A lot of our customers first came to us exactly this way.

How we price a move

Every removal is quoted individually, because no two moves are the same. The main things that affect the price are:

• how much there is to move, which is why we ask about the number of rooms
• the distance between the two properties
• access at both ends: stairs, lifts, parking and the distance from the door to the van
• large, heavy or awkward items
• whether you'd like us to pack, and whether anything needs storing
